Brooke has over 15 years of experience in clinical treatment and research.

Brooke has over 15 years of clinical and research experience, completing her Masters of Clinical Psychology at UNSW and subsequently a PhD at the University of Sydney’s Brain Mind Centre, using fMRI to examine how the brain is impacted upon by specific mental health conditions.

Brooke helps people who are struggling with emotional problems and mental health conditions, and specialises in the delivery of evidence-based treatment.. She has over 15 years clinical and research experience and has worked in a variety of clinical settings, across Prince of Wales hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and in the private sector.

Brooke is also a board-approved supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for other psychologists and trainee psychologists. She also consults to the University of Sydney, developing content for online treatment packages and will be training clinicians across NSW in the evidence-based treatment of eating disorders.

In a treatment capacity, Brooke is highly experienced across a range of evidence-based treatment frameworks for young people and adults. In particular, Brooke frequently uses Cognitve Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Brooke is passionate about individuals accessing treatment at any age, or stage of change. If you're ambivalent about treatment - that is absolutely healthy and understandable! It can feel like a big step.

General mental health treatment: Brooke is highly experienced in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including specific phobias and obsessive compulsive disorder, and depression. Our practice upholds the highest standards of care to ensure treatment is as positive and empowering an experience as possible.

Eating disorder treatment: Brooke regularly works with individuals with symptoms of restricting-type eating disorders, through to binge eating-type presentations and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). In her private practice, Brooke offers evidence-based treatment for individuals and their families who are seeking to address any eating, weight shape or body image concerns.

Brooke has extensive clinical experience in working with people with anxiety disorders, depression and eating disorders. She has more than 15 years experience in delivering and supervising other clinicians in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy-Enhanced (CBT-E); Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for both anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa; cognitive behavior therapy for Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) (CBT-AR) and the well-known Overcoming Binge Eating (OBE) treatment frameworks.

Brooke is highly experienced in working with children and younger people who have expressed body image dissatisfaction.

Brooke is one of the few Clinical Psychologists in Australia to have trained at the Kings College Institute of Psychiatry London (KCL IOP) in Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CRT), which can be of help for individuals with any eating disorder.

Outside of the practice, Brooke has three young children, who love to keep her busy creating art, doing backyard science experiments, baking and spending time outdoors.
