waiting for treatment

Are you waiting to start treatment with our practice?

We are currently experiencing a surge in demand for mental health treatment in NSW.

Many clients and families are finding that waiting times have increased significantly, which can be highly stressful. If you are waiting to see Dr Brooke Donnelly or one of her colleagues, please see below.

Regular appointments with your family GP: Not only is it an opportunity to talk through any immediate concerns that you have, but it's also important that you have regular medical monitoring if you have a diagnosed or suspected eating disorder. It is also important to talk with your GP about organising a referral and a mental health treatment plan or eating disorder plan. If your primary concern is anxiety or depression, it is still important to have regular appointments with your GP.

See here for more information about mental health treatment plans, which can help with the cost of some appointments: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/mental-health-care-and-medicare?context=60092
